Additional Tucks, Lifts, and Enhancements
In addition to the various body contouring and sculpting procedures our practice offers, Dr. Stafford R. Broumand provides a number of other aesthetic and reconstructive treatments than can help address a wide range of concerns. Outlined below are some of the many lifts, tucks, and additional enhancements available at 740 Park Plastic Surgery. Should you have any questions, or if you are interested in a particular procedure, we encourage you to contact our practice today to schedule a consultation with our board certified plastic surgeon.
Thigh Lift
Often performed for individuals who have lost a significant amount of weight through bariatric surgery and/or regular diet and exercise, thigh lift surgery is a procedure designed to eliminate loose, redundant skin in the legs for a more toned, athletic-looking appearance. At our practice, Dr. Broumand offers two thigh lift techniques: a transverse thigh lift that involves an incision made inside the thigh along the groin, and a vertical thigh lift during which an incision is made up and down the interior of the thigh. For patients who have a minimal to moderate accumulation of sagging, excess skin in the thighs, less invasive methods such as ThermiTight™ and ThermiSmooth™ by ThermiAesthetics™ may be the best option.
Chin Implants
Chin implants can often be a great option for men and women who are seeking to enhance the shape, size, and/or overall aesthetic of their chin. Based on your specific concerns and cosmetic desires, our doctor can use chin implants to aid in the augmentation of a “weak” chin, reduction and/or elimination of dimpling on the chin, and widening and/or lengthening of the chin. Additionally, chin implants can also be utilized to help conceal jowling as well as to improve balance and harmony among facial features.
Earlobe Repair
Earlobe repair is a procedure designed to restore lobes that have been stretched, enlarged, or even torn due to ear gauges and/or excessively heavy earrings. Depending on your individual needs, our surgeon can custom-tailor an approach to earlobe repair that reduces the earring “hole,” closes the opening completely, or reconnects torn tissues, ultimately helping to achieve a more normal-appearing earlobe.
Ear Piercing
While ear piercing is performed by everyone from general practitioners to employees at retail outlets, no one has the comprehensive cosmetic training and aesthetic eye equivalent to a board-certified plastic surgeon. At our office, Dr. Broumand can conduct ear piercing with optimal degrees of skill, care, and precision—all while helping to reduce, or even eliminate, any discomfort that may potentially be experienced.
Lesion Excision
At 740 Park Plastic Surgery, lesion excision encompasses the removal various growths that can be found on or directly below the skin, including skin tags, cysts, lipomas, and more. Using the utmost precision and attention to aesthetics, our surgeon can excise lesions on both the face and body with minimal incisions and reduced residual scarring for optimal results. If desired and/or necessary, any lesions that are removed can be sent to a pathology lab for testing.
Laceration Repair
Repairing lacerations on the body and/or face is one of the top treatments plastic surgeon perform. During a typical laceration repair procedure, the wound will be extensively cleaned, any present foreign matter will be extracted, deep tissue layers will be reattached, and the torn skin will be closed meticulously with sutures in order to promote optimal healing and an ideal aesthetic outcome. In certain instances, the rearrangement of deeper tissues may also be necessary prior to closure of the wound.
Pediatric Laceration Repair
Similar to the technique for adults, laceration repair for pediatric patients includes cleaning of the wound, extraction of foreign bodies, and closure of both deep and superficial tissue layers. Dr. Broumand strives to significantly reduce any potential discomfort throughout the procedure, and their careful approach helps to ensure proper healing while minimizing any possible scarring.
Scar Revision
Scars can appear in a variety of different shapes, sizes, textures, and colors. By employing such techniques as laser therapy, dermal fillers, fat transfer, and surgical excision, our plastic surgeon can often dramatically diminish the appearance of acne scars, red and brown scars, burn scars, surgical scars, keloid scars, and numerous other types of scarring found on virtually any area of the body and face.
Mohs Reconstruction
After Mohs micrographic surgery, a reconstructive procedure will typically be needed to help restore the targeted area(s) from which skin cancer tissues were eradicated. From concealing the defect by stretching surrounding skin to covering the surgical site with a skin graft, our doctor is well-trained and experienced in employing one or multiple techniques to repair the skin with exceptionally natural-looking results following Mohs surgery.
