The Sculptra Aesthetic Procedure

During treatment, the special Sculptra Aesthetic solution is carefully injected into targeted areas of facial volume loss using an advanced Dermasculpt Microcannula technique. Consisting of an ultra-fine, hollow instrument and diamond-tipped needle, this delivery method enables the dermal filler to be administered by our doctor with a high level of accuracy and comfort, often alleviating the need for topical anesthesia while minimizing any possible bruising or downtime. Once delivered, the Sculptra Aesthetic solution encourages new collagen production, which gradually adds volume and corrects depressions in the skin over time. For most patients, the entire procedure take about 15-30 minutes to complete, and a series of treatments may be needed to attain an optimal outcome.

Sculptra Aesthetic Recovery

Following treatment with Sculptra Aesthetic, some degree of swelling, bruising, and/or redness may occur, but our plastic surgeon’s unique approach tends to limit these symptoms. The majority of patients look and feel well enough to resume normal daily routines as soon as they leave our office, though any strenuous physical activity should be avoided for at least 24 hours. The effects of Sculptra Aesthetic will gradually improve over the course of a few weeks and months as new collagen continues to grow, and most individuals can expect final results to last approximately two years. Once the desired outcome begins to fade, touch-up treatments can often be received, if desired.
