CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting® can often be a great option for reducing diet and exercise-resistant pockets of fat on the abdomen, hips, flanks, and lower back. In addition – thanks to our practice’s CoolSmooth™ and CoolFit™ applicators – this non-surgical, non-invasive alternative to liposuction can also be utilized to diminish stubborn fat buildups on the inner and outer thighs. During the CoolSculpting® treatment, a process known as Cryolipolysis™ is used to essentially freeze targeted fat cells, leading to their destruction. Once broken down, the fat cells will be filtered out of the body through natural processes over the course of a few months. The entire procedure typically takes about one hour per treatment area, and many people do not need more than a single CoolSculpting® session to achieve a notably more contoured appearance.

Following CoolSculpting®, most individuals experience little to no downtime, though some temporary redness in the treated area is common. The majority of patients can return to their normal daily activities as soon as they leave the office, and optimal results will generally become apparent after approximately two months.

Ulthera® Skin Tightening

Sometimes referred to as Ultherapy®, Ulthera® is a popular skin tightening procedure that can help treat facial skin laxity, sagging skin along the jawline, loose skin on the neck, a drooping brow, and puffiness around the eyes. During treatment, a special device emitting ultrasonic energy is guided along the skin to stimulate the production of new collagen and encourage the skin to regain some of its elasticity, both of which can have a tightening effect. Depending on the individual’s specific indications, the entire procedure generally takes anywhere from 15 minutes (for a single area of concern) to an hour (for the entire face).

After Ultherapy®, most patients experience little to no downtime and are able to resume normal daily routines immediately. Results will typically continue to improve over the course of about two to three months as new collagen grows, ultimately producing firmer skin and a revitalized, more youthful appearance.

ThermiAesthetics™ Skin Rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation treatments from ThermiAesthetics™ utilize a temperature-controlled radiofrequency generator system called ThermiRF™. This FDA-approved device employs radiofrequency energy to help diminish various signs of aging by lifting, tightening, and smoothing the skin for a rejuvenated aesthetic. At our practice, Dr. Broumand offers three ThermiAesthetics™ treatments: ThermiRase™, ThermiTight™, and ThermiSmooth™.

ThermiRase™

ThermiRase™ by ThermiAesthetics™ is a minimally invasive treatment intended to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles by preventing muscle contractions below the skin. During the procedure, a combination of electrical and radiofrequency pulses are first utilized to identify nerves responsible for muscle contractions. Once located, controlled radiofrequency energy is emitted into a portion of the nerve via the ThermiRF™ device, effectively inhibiting it from contracting the specific muscle responsible for the wrinkle(s).

ThermiTight™

ThermiTight™ by ThermiAesthetics™ is a minimally invasive treatment designed to tighten skin on the face, neck, chest, back, and/or arms through the use of radiofrequency energy. During this procedure, the ThermiRF™ system is used to deliver temperature-controlled radiofrequency energy into deep tissue layers of the targeted area, helping to stimulate new collagen growth without harming surrounding tissues.

ThermiSmooth™

ThermiSmooth™ by ThermiAesthetics™ is a non-invasive technique that can help smooth skin on the face, neck, and various other regions of the body. During treatment, a precise degree of controlled heat is emitted as the ThermiSmooth™ handpiece is gently moved around the targeted area. Once skin tissues reach a specific temperature, old collagen will start to contract and the production of new collagen will be stimulated, ultimately creating a smoothing effect on the surface of the skin.

For all ThermiAesthetics™ treatments, the length of the procedure will depend on the number of areas being addressed. Some temporary side effects – such as redness and/or swelling – may be possible, though these should diminish shortly. Most patients are able to return to work and normal daily activities within a few days, if not immediately. In some instances, multiple treatment sessions may be necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

BOTOX® for Excessive Sweating

Widely known for its efficacy in minimizing facial lines and wrinkles, BOTOX® can also be a great solution for individuals suffering from excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) in the underarms, hands, and/or feet. Administered right here in our office, BOTOX® injections work to block nerve signals from stimulating sweat glands in the targeted treatment area(s), temporarily preventing the production of perspiration. Thanks to our plastic surgeon’s meticulous technique, there is little to no discomfort associated with the procedure, and most patients are able to return to normal daily activities immediately. On average, excessive sweating can be inhibited by BOTOX® for about eight months, after which time follow-up injections can be received to maintain optimal results.
