Radiesse
For individuals desiring to address various signs of facial aging, RADIESSE® can often prove to be an excellent solution. Composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres, this FDA-approved dermal filler is designed to minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles between the nose and mouth (nasolabial), as well as to enhance the volume of the cheeks. Unlike various other fillers, RADIESSE® works to promote new collagen growth within the skin, helping to create results that can often last at least a year. By employing this advanced injectable treatment, Stafford R. Broumand, MD—our Harvard-trained plastic surgeon—can improve key aging concerns for a more youthful-looking, revitalized facial appearance.

What Can RADIESSE® Do for Me?
Based on your particular needs and desires, RADIESSE® may be able to help:
- Diminish nasolabial folds
- Smooth frown lines
- Augment the cheeks
The RADIESSE® Procedure
During treatment, the RADIESSE® formula is gently delivered into targeted regions of the face by way of an innovative Dermasculpt® Microcannula technique. Comprised of a hollow, ultra-thin instrument and diamond-tipped needle, the Dermasculpt® Microcannula method allows this injectable solution to be administered with an optimal degree of comfort and precision, typically reducing the need for any form of anesthesia while helping to lessen the potential for bruising and/or downtime. The entire RADIESSE® procedure generally takes approximately 15 minutes to half an hour to perform, but this length of time may vary depending on how many concerns are being addressed.
RADIESSE® Recovery
After the RADIESSE® treatment, some initial swelling and/or bruising may be visible, but these temporary symptoms are often reduced by our doctor’s meticulous technique. The majority of women and men are able to return to office jobs or resume regular daily routines immediately, though most are instructed to avoid strenuous physical activities for at least 24 hours. Results usually appear instantaneously with treatment, and due to continued growth of new collagen, the effects tend to last a year, if not longer. If needed and/or desired, touch-up treatments can be administered to maintain an optimal long-term outcome.
