Xeomin®
Xeomin is rapidly gaining popularity as an effective injectable treatment to temporarily reduce the appearance of crow’s feet, fine lines, and other signs of aging on the face. Similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, Xeomin is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and can work to give you a more youthful, refreshed appearance. Dr. Stafford Broumand, our board-certified plastic surgeon, administers Xeomin injections into the areas targeted for rejuvenation with a fine diamond-cut needle. The target areas can be numbed with a topical anesthetic to minimize discomfort.
Like BOTOX Cosmetic, Xeomin is composed of a highly diluted form of botulinum neurotoxin type A. The solution works to temporarily relax muscles in the treatment areas, preventing them from contracting and forming wrinkles. The results of Xeomin can last up to four months, and they can be maintained for much longer periods with occasional follow-up treatments.
